Rory: Look, he is power buffing.
The town along with Emily, Richard and Paris all stay at the inn when a large group cancels their event.
The episode opens with Lorelai and Rory making a snow man, and not a good one either. Especially in comparison to the man power buffing his behind them. At the inn, Lorelai and Sookie are preparing for a big fancy dinner and Lorelai gets a call from Christopher asking if it is okay for Rory to stay with him for a couple of days over the holidays. Lorelai freaks out, which I don’t understand. As someone who grew up with divorced parents for most of my life, Rory staying with her dad for a weekend isn’t so bad. Lorelai should be happy that Christopher wants to spend more time with Rory. At the Gilmore house, Richard is still depressed which makes it awful for Emily and everyone else.
The fancy dinner they were going out for gets cancelled and Rory makes a suggestion that they invite everyone to the inn to eat all of the food that Sookie has already paid for and stay in the empty rooms that had been booked out for this event. Lorelai and Sookie love the idea and start inviting people when Rory suggests Emily and Richard come too – as it might make him less depressed. Night of the dinner, Paris shows up at the inn with work for Rory, so she invites Paris to stay and join in the giant party. Richard and Emily show up and Richard is in a much, much better mood. There are horse drawn sleighs so Lorelai and Luke are in one together and Jess is a ding dong and jumps into Rory’s when she is in there alone. Does he honestly think that this makes him cool? Really? Really?
Richard drops the bomb at dinner that he quit his job. Back in their room, Lorelai tells Rory that Christopher offered for her to stay with him. Rory is confused as to why Lorelai never said anything to her and why she is freaking out so much about it. Emily is upset and goes to Lorelai and Rory’s room to stay in there. She lasts all of five minutes before going to the lobby where she finds Richard who apologises for not telling her. The next morning everyone is leaving and you see Jess and Dean almost have this triangle thing with Rory. But of course the episode ends with the evidence that Jess ruined someone else’s power buffed snow man. That is just property destruction, not anything else.
Lorelai trying to get Kirk out of character and succeeding.
